Barack Obama saw the way Sweden was dealing with the crown pandemic.
He says this now on the podcast Pod save America.
– I don’t think it has proven to work, he says.
Whether the Swedish crown’s strategy, without harsh closures and quarantine rules, has been successful is a controversial issue. Recently, our unique strategy received harsh criticism from Professor Andrew Ewing.
And now the former president of the United States joins the crowd that doesn’t believe in him.
In an interview with the podcast Pod save America, the former president questions the relationship between Republicans and Trump. Obama, who previously called the Trump administration’s handling of the crown a “chaotic disaster,” cites the crown pandemic as an example.
– Say “yes, covid-19 is a really big problem, a serious disease. Here’s the science we can agree on, ”he says.

Barack Obama saw the strategy of the Swedish crown.
“I do not agree with that”
That’s when he gets into Swedish strategy.
– So you have a country like Sweden that says “we will try to fight this with herd immunity”.
– I don’t agree with that and I don’t think it has proven to work. But in any case we are within the same reality in our debate.
According to the Swedish Public Health Agency, the Swedish strategy is not to achieve herd immunity. They believe that the Swedish strategy is to take measures that we can learn to live with, as the coronavirus will be with us for a longer period of time.
However, a previous Aftonbladet review shows that herd immunity was discussed in an email group made up of experts and the authority.
– Our strategy has always been to keep the infection from spreading as much as possible, without taking measures that have extreme negative effects, Anders Tegnell said about the Swedish strategy at the time.
