Barack Obama Advises Trump: “Think Outside Your Ego”

For the first time since the elections, the representative of Donald Trump in the presidency, Barack Obama, now publishes the text on how he sees Donald Trump’s refusal to recognize the electoral defeat against Joe Biden.

Obama: “I think it was time I admitted it”

In the nearly two weeks that have passed since Election Day, Donald Trump has spent questioning the election results and accusing Democrats of extensive electoral fraud, without presenting any evidence.

60 Minutes reporter asks if Barack Obama thinks Donald Trump should admit the election result.

– Absolutely. I mean, I think the time had come for me to admit the election result, probably the next day, or at most two days after the election. When you look at the numbers objectively, Joe Biden will clearly have won. There is no scenario in which any of these states deviate, and it is definitely not enough to change the outcome of the election, says Barack Obama.

Barack Obama: “The President is a Servant of the Public”

He himself chose to call Donald Trump at three o’clock on election night in 2016 to congratulate him on the victory, even though the profit margin was less than 1 percent in three states. Donald Trump had also repeatedly claimed during the election campaign that Barack Obama was not born in the United States, ultimately leading to Obama showing his American birth certificate.

– The president is a servant of the public. They are temporary occupants of the office, as designed. When the time is up, it is your job to put the country first and think outside of your ego, your own interests and your own dissatisfaction, Barack Obama tells 60 Minutes.

– My advice to President Trump is that if at this late stage you want to be remembered as someone who put the country first, it is time for you to do the same.
