Work on this agreement will be completed during this week, Jan Bergerud announces, adding that all stores and the web store are open as usual.
Alingsås-based fashion company Kompott Mode, which runs stores for Rabalder, was declared bankrupt by the Alingsås District Court on August 26.
The fashion company has been selling women’s and girls’ clothing for 30 years and has 32 stores from Umeå in the north to Malmö in the south.
The company currently has 120 employees.
Rabalder has an outlet store in Falköping, but the employees do not want to leave a comment, but they refer to the CEO Jan Bergerud.
In recent years, Rabalder has invoiced between 70 and 80 million SEK and was previously profitable. The debts now amount to approximately SEK 14 million.
According to bankruptcy administrator Christian Andersch, with whom Ehandel has been in contact, the debts are primarily about state tax payments and wages.
– This is basically a stable company, but since the corona pandemic hit, the buying pattern has changed. It has been a minor disaster for many who sell clothing and this company is no exception. It has now been established that it is no longer possible to run the business at this company, he tells Ehandel.
The bankruptcy trustee also claims that discussions are ongoing with the previous owner about the possibility of taking over parts of the business.
NOTE: The newspaper is looking for Christian Andersch for a comment.
