The Bandy World Cup in Irkutsk should have been decided in April, but it was moved from October 5 to 11. It is now clear that the championship will be canceled, announces the Russian Bandy Association on its website.

It has already become clear that both Sweden and Finland have refused to participate in this fall’s Bandy World Cup due to travel restrictions introduced due to the spread of the coronavirus. Now the championship is completely canceled, writes rusbandy.ru, something that bandypuls.se was the first to report in Sweden.

Next year’s World Cup is scheduled to be played at the Russian Syktyvkar at the end of March to April.
