Several women, at least 13 of whom were about to catch a flight to Sydney, were later contacted by security personnel at the airport, ABC News reports.

They were transferred to two ambulances outside the airport area for gynecological exams.

– No one spoke English or told us what happened. It was scary, one of the women tells ABC.

Another says:

– They told me to take off my pants and to examine my vagina.

Several other women are also believed to have been controlled, writes AFP. A source in Doha told the news agency that authorities investigated the woman’s cervix.
