Police are investigating an alleged assassination attempt in a residential area around Skranta, Karlskoga.
– It is a serious violent crime and we do not go into more details, but we classify it as attempted murder, says Stefan Wickberg, spokesman for the Bergslagen police district.
Police were alerted to the address shortly after midnight. A major police operation has been carried out overnight and is now continuing during the day.
– We put a lot of resources into this and we are looking for the perpetrator. Forensic technicians are working full-time on the site to secure the leads, he says.
The police are very interested in receiving leads that may be related to the crime.
– We really want to make a call to the public to contact us about the observations made in the area. Especially just before midnight, or even several hours before, when we really don’t know exactly when the crime was committed. In many cases, the advice can be crucial to the investigation, he says.
