Ubisoft has confirmed that the next chapter in the Assassin’s Creed series will be Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, where players will be able to visit the Viking Age (which has long been rumored).
The studio released the first trailer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on April 30, which appears to be a much bloodier deal in earlier series titles. Players play the role of the Viking raider Eivor, who runs his clan from his native Norway to the dark beaches of England during the Middle Ages, hoping that he can stay forever. But the resistance of scissors means that it is easier said than done.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla seems to focus less on stealth tactics and introduces new features like raids, settlement management, and customization. It appears to be the bloodiest title in the series to date, and we’re eager to try it out when it launches on existing and next-gen game consoles during the “2020 holiday season.”

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will launch during the “Christmas 2020 season” (sometime between October and December), and will therefore coincide with the release of PS5 and Xbox Series X.
The game will launch on Xbox Series X, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, Stadia and PC and will be available on the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store exclusively for PC. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also be available on Ubisoft’s UPLAY + subscription service.

Voice actors revealed
Creative director Ashraf Ismail has revealed the voice actors for the male and female Eivor: Danish actors Cecilie Stenspil and Magnus Buun. Since Ubisoft focuses so much on the RPG parts of its Assassin’s Creed games and makes the dialogues so important, we are likely to hear a lot of them.

It will take place in Norway and England
In an interview with BBC Click, creative director Ashraf Ismail confirmed that the game, which takes place during the 800s, will take players between Norway and England, where most of the action takes place in the four different kingdoms of England.
“Norway is quite big, but it is in England where most of the action takes place. We have four kingdoms in England: Northumbria, East Anglia, Mercia and Wessex and big cities like Winchester, London, York or Jorvik during that time.” .
