Residents of the house have been evacuated.

According to him, the rescue service will be there throughout the night.

– We’ll let the roof burn. There is a concrete floor that protects the apartments from the wind. So there is no risk of spreading that way, says Ulf Asplund.

The rescue service currently has 20 people on the scene who are working with the fire.

There are no reports of injuries related to the fire.

The house consists of three floors and it has not yet been determined where the residents will go overnight.

– We have contacted our waiting officer in the municipality and the owner. We’ll see if any nearby locations are opened for evacuees, says Ulf Asplund.

Currently, the rescue service has no information on what caused the fire.

– We already saw when driving that it burned heavily on the roof. It’s an intense fire, but I don’t know where it’s burning, says Lennart Ågren, internal commander of the rescue service.

According to him, the rescue service will now let the wind die down and will have personnel on site who will make sure it can be done under controlled conditions.

– We will be here for many hours. But there is no risk of spreading to other buildings at the moment, says Lennart Ågren at 9pm.
