AND …

… is still world heavyweight champion – Anthony Joshua.

The British star knocked out Kubrat Palev.

At home at Wembley Arena, Anthony Joshua won by knockout in the ninth round. The 31-year-old landed a forehand excess that brought down Bulgarian Kubrat Palev. While the judge was counting, he got down on his knees, but no more after the judge said ten.

Joshua defends all three of his heavyweight world title belts: IBF, WBA and WBO. What he lacks, WBC, is his compatriot Tyson Fury. And Joshua opens up for a dream fight against Fury.

“Ready for whatever”

– I’m ready for anything. It’s not about the opponent, but about the legacy and the belt. If it’s Tyson Fury, it’s Tyson Fury. It doesn’t matter, says Anthony Joshua.

And Fury’s response came minutes after Joshua’s arm was lifted in the ring.

– I want the fight, and I want it next. I’ll knock him out in the first three rounds, says Fury.

Joshua has now won 24 of his 25 professional fights. This was the first in a year, when he recovered his three belts in the second leg with Mexican Andy Ruiz Jr.
