The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (KVA) forms a group of experts to examine the corona pandemic. One of the members is former state epidemiologist Annika Linde, writes Dagens Nyheter.
The expert group will focus on the medical perspective, unlike the Crown Commission, which reviews the government and the government’s handling of the pandemic. Göran K Hansson, Permanent Secretary of KVA, has previously noted that there is a lack of medical competence in the Crown Commission, but he still sees the think tank as a complement rather than a competitor.
– We believe that it is very important to collect the lessons that can be learned from this, about the virus, the immune system, the protective measures, so that we can be better equipped next time, he tells DN.
The expert group is expected to present its final report in 2021.
