The travel advice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is “unusually strong” and applies to all non-essential travel, such as tourism.
– Applies to everyone. And it’s not about the risk of infection, it’s about not being able to go home, says Ann Linde of the Weekend Studio.
In March, 50,000 Swedes were abroad who wanted to go home. In May, the corresponding figure is 1000-1500.
So far, the Foreign Ministry has helped 7,000 Swedes get home.
“Now we only have The Gambia left of all the countries in the world where there are still Swedes who cannot get home commercially,” says Ann Linde.

But it seems that the strict travel advice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be maintained for a time, one way or another.
The current recommendation is valid until June 15. In the Weekend Study, Ann Linde states that a new message will come much sooner.
But she already notes:
– I don’t think you should expect to be able to travel freely, you will not be able to travel freely after June 15. So it depends a little on how it looks in different countries. Has air traffic started?
