Three other people have been registered as dead in covid-19, the latest figures from the Public Health Agency show. At the same time, the trend continues with an increase in covid-19 cases globally.
– There are many signs that this will also be a new record week globally, state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell said during the joint press conference Thursday.

– In Sweden, we have gone from 30,000 to 40,000 tests in March-April to 140,000 now. And that is, of course, part of the reason we find so many more cases.
Right now, 30 people are being treated for covid-19 in intensive care in Sweden and there are signs of an increase in intensive care. However, the rate of increase in Sweden slows somewhat, according to Anders Tegnell, from a rate of increase of 20 percent in one week to around 10 percent.
– However, the number of deaths remains low, says Anders Tegnell.
Anders Tegnell says that now it is important for Swedes to avoid parties.
– Don’t participate in after work after work, he says.
