An empty boat with fishing gear and engine running was discovered in a bay in the municipality of Värmdö, east of Stockholm. He took over a large search operation with divers, but after a few hours the owner of the boat got in touch.

It was feared that someone had drowned in Våmfjorden and is in Fågelbrolandet, in the eastern part of the municipality. The person who called SOS put on the wetsuit and threw the boat ashore.

Rescue services arrived, an ambulance and the police and divers entered the water, finding nothing.

The first alarm call was made at three thirty on Saturday. Just before 7pm, the TT salvage service announced that the boat owner had heard from them, so the alarm could be fully sounded.
