One person died and another is being hospitalized following the fire in a villa outside Avesta on Sunday afternoon.
According to information to Aftonbladet, a person must have attacked a couple in the villa with a knife and then lit the house.
Police have arrested a person suspected of murder, attempted murder, and serious murder.

The alarm about the fire in the villa in Karlbo outside Avesta was received on 16.01. It was a fully developed fire that started on the balcony of the property.
When the police and rescue services arrived at the scene, an injured woman was found. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance and then flown to the Akademiska hospital in Uppsala by helicopter.

It was feared that someone else would be left in the villa. On Monday morning, police say the person died.
– He is a deceased and one who is taken to the hospital. We have arrested and arrested one person overnight. The classification of the crime is murder, attempted murder and serious murder. That’s all I can say right now, says Peter Persson, Bergslagen Police Service Commander.
