One person is missing and another has been transferred to the hospital after the fire in a villa in Avesta.
Police have also arrested a person suspected of serious murder.

Villa Fuego in Avesta
The alarm about the fire in the villa in Karlbo outside Avesta was received on 16.01. It was a fully developed fire that started on the balcony of the property.
When the police and rescue services arrived at the scene, an injured woman was found. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance and then flown to the Akademiska hospital in Uppsala by helicopter.

It is feared that another person will stay in the villa. During the night, the police arrested a perpetrator reasonably suspected of serious murder.
– We hold witness hearings and begin sunset work. At 6:30 p.m., a criminal was arrested at an address in Avesta. He should now be heard and contacted by prosecutors, says Torbjörn Roos, surveillance officer for the Bergslagen police region.
Does the person have any connection with the people in the village?
– The identity or connections of this man is nothing to discuss at the moment.
Police will conduct a tenure investigation Monday.
