Zlatan Ibrahimovic was involved and convinced talented Akinkunmi Amoo to choose Hammarby.

In the Swedish Cup against FC Gute, he made his competitive debut early on and was responsible for the goals immediately.

– I’m so happy today. The goals were really great, Amoo tells Hammarby’s website.

The move of 18-year-old Akinkumi Amoo to Hammarby has been surrounded by a lot of curiosity. For how good the talent really is that personally brought out Zlatan Ibrahimovic with a call for him to choose Bajen.

– I was very surprised that Zlatan did it. He is a legend, he is no longer a player. It is a legend. I was shocked and very happy. It is a great motivation and an opportunity for me for him to say it and it gives me motivation to work hard, said Amoo himself when he arrived in August.

But since then only a few minutes have passed in four different innings at the Allsvenskan.

Fast in depth

But when Hammarby took on second division FC Gute, Amoo had the opportunity from the start.

And it seemed like he wanted to seize the opportunity. Shortly after Jesper Andersen opened the scoring with a shot from distance, he created the first hot situation with his speed.

In minute 32 it was time again. Andersen hit a deep ball and Amoo got away and made it 2-0.

“A quiet trip”

The Nigerian was close to his second on several occasions before, in the 71st minute, he plunged back into the depths, loosening from the baseline and coldly hitting it 5-0.

– We are very happy with him. He is ambitious and wants a lot, while also having a lot to learn, says Stefan Billborn, who sees great potential.

– Of course you need to work on what all young players need, position games and physics. Then perhaps it broadens its range of action. But how much fun it is to show off and feel good builds self-confidence.

Amoo’s 5-0 goal was also the last of the match and Hammarby is further away in the cup game.

– We won without behaving well, it will be a comfortable and quiet trip, which was nice for us, says Billborn.
