Alice Stenlöf first retired in May from the TV4 show “Let’s dance” after her rumba dedicated to her father did not impress viewers and jury enough.
In this week’s “Let’s dance” show, participants dedicated their dance to someone in their environment, and the tear ducts repeatedly opened when children, parents, royal spouses, and other family members were hailed, and greeted through a link.
The highest points of all, artist John Lundvik combed at home, which received three nine from the judges for a rumba dedicated to his late grandmother.
Hellenius pecked
Last week there was confusion over who came out when host David Hellenius first said influencer Alice Stenlöf’s name, but then straightened up and sent Andreas Lundstedt home. On Friday’s show, co-host Tilde De Paula Eby did not let the young lady go unnoticed, but exploded into a song and dance number accompanied by TV4 profiles Agneta Sjödin and Jessica Almenäs in which they noted how Hellenius’ career is constantly saved by the women in her environment.
“As proud as possible”
But David Hellenius’ mispronunciation was also prophetic, when Stenlöf was finally allowed to leave the competition after receiving harsh but honest words from Judge Ann Wilson.
Colleague Dermot Clemenger was more forgiving in his statement when he said:
– I think Dad Kaj is proud of everything.
Then Stenlöf noted that she was satisfied with her participation. She was particularly pleased to keep up with the week’s section while dancing the personal dedications.
– It meant a lot and it was very nice to be able to do a dedicated dance.
