Last week, the number of warnings was at the highest level since mid-summer, when 2,162 people were affected.
At the same time, unemployment remains at 9.2 percent, and the Swedish Public Employment Service side sees most of the flashes of light in the job market.
– We see signs that the economy is starting, there are more people leaving the Swedish Public Employment Service than signing up, says Annika Sundén, head of analysis at the Swedish Public Employment Service.
Almost half of the 2,162 people who were notified of layoffs last week are employed in the industry.
A total of 96,105 people have been notified of termination since the beginning of March.

– An explanation for the higher notices may be that the vacation period has ended and companies start and review their operations. The uncertainty is great and the next few weeks will show how the crisis will unfold.
At the same time that the number of dismissal notices increased, more people who had registered as unemployed left the Swedish Public Employment Service in the past week and thus the total unemployment rate remained at the 9.2%.
– We see signs that the economy is starting, there are more people leaving the Swedish Public Employment Service than signing up. Those who return to work quickly are those with an education and already established in the labor market, says Annika Sundén, head of analysis at the Swedish Public Employment Service.
