Relatives report alarm operator Tunstall to police after the death of an elderly woman, even though she asked for help, reports TV4.
The woman called for help eight times in an hour and a half, but when the alarm hit the night patrol, it was too late. The prosecutor is now investigating the incident as a misdemeanor.
– It is very sad what has happened and we are humbled by this situation and we will fully assume our responsibility, says Tunstall CEO Johan Lenander to TV4.
Since it is the municipality that provides the service with security alarms, it may be the municipality of Luleå that is accountable.
– We will see if it is a crime that has been committed at all and if there are reasons to assume it. It’s too early to tell, says Anna Bergström, Deputy Attorney General.
Security alarm disruptions affected at least 47 municipalities last week. According to the Tunstall company, the issues have now been resolved, but the deviation reports that P4 Örebro examined show that several were affected when the alarms did not go off.
