Neymar accuses Álvaro González of racism.
Now PSG supports the Brazilian attacker.
“There is no place for racism in society, in football or in our lives,” the club wrote on its website.
Paris Saint-Germain fell 1-0 on Sunday to Marseille in Ligue 1. Afterwards, however, the focus was not on the result, but on a major dispute that arose, between several players from both teams, in the Extra time, when PSG’s Neymar, Leandro Paredes and Layvin Kurzawa were sent off, while Jordan Amavi and Dario Benedetto were sent off in Marseille.
Neymar was expelled for the first time after a review of the VAR, when the referee team noticed that the brass had hit Álvaro González in the back of his mind during the fight, which he later also accused of racism.
“My only regret is that I did not slap the idiot,” Neymar wrote on Twitter, among other things.
“There is no place for racism. Sometimes you have to learn to lose and accept it in the field,” González responded on Twitter.
Now PSG also comes out to comment on the fight on its website and supports Neymar.
“Paris Saint-Germain supports Neymar, who has announced that he has been subjected to racism by a rival,” the club wrote on its website.
PSG further writes:
“There is no place for racism in society, in football or in our lives. We urge everyone to oppose all forms of racism in the world. For more than 15 years, the club has been strongly involved in the fight against all forms of discrimination “. “.
PSG also announce that they expect the league to discover the facts and investigate the matter further.
