IFK Gothenburg is in crisis and beat Falkenbergs FF in the Allsvenskan on Sunday. Before the match, Blåvitt was in 13th place, while FFF was in second place, which meant there were important points at stake in the last battle.

Blåvitt’s new coach, Roland “Rolle” Nilsson, also made his first game as IFK coach on Sunday and, from the side, he could see Blåvitt press immediately. Pontus Wernbloom found an early post at the near post, but this time he didn’t get a clean shot on the ball.

A little later, FFF had a good chance, when Anton Wede came out in good position in the penalty area, but shot straight at Blåvitt’s Greek goalkeeper, Giannis Anestis.

However, Blåvitt had to celebrate the first goal of the match, when Alexander Farnerud stayed ahead in the area and shot it 1-0. Blåvitt also increased then, just before the break, to 2-0. Anton Wede hit the ball undisturbed into his own goal with a volley from Alexander Jallow’s post.

The visiting team also came close to extending to 3-0, but Tobias Sana was not calm from the penalty spot and could see Viktor Noring save the penalty. It was Blåvitt’s fourth penalty foul this year and they therefore had to go to a break at halftime with a two-goal lead.

– We are right defensively, we made the right decision and we worked together, Farnerud tells Dplay at halftime.

– It’s nice to be in the lead, while also feeling good. I also think we are doing well.

Falkenberg started the second half with energy and in the 69th minute of the game, substitute Karl Söderström came close to driving a reduction. But IFK goalkeeper Giannis Anestis fell quickly and pushed the ball into a Falkenberg corner.

In the 76th minute of the game, Sana would again have a chance from the penalty spot and this time he was much safer. Viktor Noring in goal jumped to the right and Sana put the ball into the left corner of the goal. 3-0 for “Rolle” Nilssons IFK Göteborg.

Falkenberg had several opportunities to equalize, but had a difficult time establishing his chances. After four minutes of play, the referee signaled a substitution for Mohammed Al-Hakim.

On July 2, IFK Gothenburg won a Swedish soccer match. Now the team is once again the winner in Roland Nilsson’s first game. With the result, Blåvitt climbs to 12th place. Falkenberg is still so huge.

In the next Allsvenskan match, IFK Gothenburg will face Kalmar FF. On Falkenberg’s side, the Bois de Varberg is waiting.

– Heavy heads after the last game: the boys did what we agreed. Now we will enjoy this victory, because we deserve it, says Roland Nilsson to Dplay.
