A man in his 40s in Södertälje has been called as a witness in a US civil case concerning the act of September 11 in the US in September 2001.
– It is a completely unique case in Sweden that someone hears about the act of September 11, says terrorism investigator Magnus Ranstorp, to SVT.

According to TV4 Nyheterna and SVT, the man from Södertälje has been subpoenaed in district court to testify under oath about people related to the attack on the Pentagon, the US defense headquarters, one of the targets attacked on September 11. 2001.
The man was then living in the United States.
The planned interrogation was once again postponed, it has happened several times before because the district court has had difficulty communicating with the man. This time, the reason was a medical certificate on the suspicion of corona infection according to TV4 Nyheterna.
The interrogation must be carried out as soon as possible, according to the judge in the case, reports SVT.
Not suspected of crime
Approximately 20 attorneys in the US would be present during the hearing, then on a link from the US.
The man has previously been questioned by US authorities, such as the FBI. And according to TV4, this would be what he knows about certain information about the preparations for the attack and contacts with one of the terrorists.
The man is not suspected of any crime, but the interrogation is part of a civil case in which relatives are suing Saudi Arabia for damages.
