At 4 p.m. Friday afternoon, police received an alarm about a riot outside Varberg. During the fight, a man was hit with a stab and later received, among other things, head injuries.
– It is not clear what kind of shelter was used, says Fredrik Svedemyr, spokesman for the police in the western region.
The man was taken to hospital with information that there were no life-threatening injuries.
– According to initial information, several people must have been involved in the dispute. We will now try to clarify what happened in relation to the alleged murder.
The wounded man has been questioned at the hospital overnight. The police have also questioned witnesses.
On Friday night, police were able to arrest a suspect in his 40s who is now under arrest for attempted murder.
– The arrest must have been little dramatic. New investigative measures will be carried out overnight and over the weekend, Fredrik Svedemyr.
