Ulf Westerberg is one of the employees who will lose his job if Naturum in Falsterbo Strandbad closes. Yesterday he was present and handed over the protest lists with 5,377 signatures against the closure to the Vellinge city councilor, Carina Wutzler (M).
– A lot is invested throughout Naturum in Sweden. Vellinge are the only ones who kill him, he says.
“I have the impression that no concrete evaluation has been carried out on Naturum. What I hope is that the moderates do not have a feeling about what is most valuable to the municipality, but they try to systematically evaluate what they gain and lose in different alternatives, ”says Pernilla Borgström, the initiator of the collection of names. On Monday he handed over the lists with thousands of signatures to City Councilor Carina Wutzler (M).
A month ago, Sydsvenskan revealed the moderates’ plans: to close Naturum and the art gallery by the end of the year as a first step towards future hotel investment. It was the starting shot of a storm of protests, which among other things resulted in the collection of names that in a short time has collected thousands of signatures.
