On Tuesday a large fire broke out in an apartment building at Skäggetorp in Linköping. The police have now started an investigation into the arson, as they suspect the fire may have started.
Several apartments were damaged by the fire. No one was injured, but residents were evacuated.
The attic was completely burned and an apartment was damaged by smoke.
– And some apartments have suffered minor water damage, making some apartments unlivable for a while. Residents have had good contact with the real estate company, they get help from there, Lennart Ågren, internal commander of the Östra Götaland Rescue Service, tells TT on Wednesday morning.
The fire was able to be extinguished overnight, but smoke was still billowing from the building Wednesday morning.
– There was storage in the attic, so it is a very flammable material that can be smoked for quite some time. It needs to be disassembled during the day with the help of loading cranes and other things, says Ågren.
