Rescue services, ambulance and police are on the scene in the center of Norrtälje after a car crashed into a shop window.

– There are no serious injuries, it was a person who was a little pushed by the car but is calm with everyone on the scene, says Timmy Cehlin of the Greater Stockholm Firefighters Association.

The store in question was closed and according to the rescue service, there appears to be no crime behind the incident.

– It seems to be an accident. The store is right next to a parking lot, so they probably tried parking.

The police will investigate the accident as the cause of bodily injury and traffic negligence.

First on site: “I heard a big bang”

There is a store in the next room that sells East Asian food. The store owner was the first to arrive and helped the driver and passenger out of the car.

– I heard a car speeding up and then a big bang and then I ran off. They were so shocked that they didn’t know what to do. They just stayed, says the store owner who doesn’t want to give his name.
