Jonas Kruse: “I had to make a change”

It was in mid-April that SVT Sport was able to reveal that the Motor Sports Association had traveled to the United States funded by members’ money. The trip cost SEK 300,000 and due to costly costs, the Board exceeded its own annual budget by approximately SEK 570,000.

The reason is, among other things, the alcohol scores and that the members had to pay for the relatives to the board that accompanied the trip.

That Lars Pettersson steps down as president not surprising SVT sports expert Jonas Kruse.

– I certainly am not directly surprised given the history of the accountant and the criticism that has come from different angles. Kruse says it doesn’t seem like the entire board can be left after this, he had to make changes.

What is the correct decision?

– It is a very complex question, there are two pages and we do not have all the information. But it is clear that the auditor’s criticism is harsh. I think the right people have sat on the board, they are good at racing and rally issues, but then the board lacks people with other skills. For example, having a travel and alcohol and economy policy that would be better to follow. A person with more order and disposition would have sat at the board.

The most important thing now is to go to the bottom with everything to be able to advance again and develop Swedish motor sports, says Kruse.

– It is important to regain confidence. And what is especially important to discover in this is the economy, how does it look?
