Thousands of air travelers affected by the viral crisis do not receive the ticket money even though they are entitled to it, reports Svenska Dagbladet.

Between March 1 and May 5, Consumer Europe received 613 cases with complaints against airlines. This is four times more compared to the same period last year.

In accordance with EU legislation, you have the right to recover money from a canceled regular flight within seven days. For a tourist package, they are valid for 14 days, which is regulated by the Package Travel Law. The right of refund is maintained even if the airline offers the new passenger reservation (instead of cancellation).

The airline industry is in its worst crisis in modern times. Marcus Dahlsten, CEO of Transport Companies, is confident that airlines are doing what they can, but that the difficult financial situation is delaying payments.
