The latest public health statistics show that a total of 2,769 people have died in covid-19 suites in Sweden. This is an increase of 90 people in the last 24 hours. But the figures are still uncertain, as there is a delay in reporting after the weekend. Therefore, they are likely to be higher when all cases have been reported.
The updated figures also show that a total of 22,721 have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus in Sweden.

State epidemiologist Anders Tegnell said at the press conference that quite a few countries report a confrontation.
“It is a continuous distance in Europe, which has now been reduced to about a third of the number of cases in the world,” he says.
The Public Health Authority sees a decreasing trend in the number of people admitted to intensive care. According to Anders Tegnell, some cases from regions other than Stockholm are also beginning to be reported.

Currently more than 500 people are being treated for VAT in Sweden, which is about 50 less than last week.

Johanna Sandwall, crisis management manager at the National Board of Health and Welfare, confirms that the burden is reduced to some extent in healthcare.
– This does not mean that we do not have a health burden, but we do see a certain reduction. Especially in regions that have had a heavy load so far, she says.
Hard to open right
Anders Tegnell receives a question about how he sees the rest of Europe now easing its restrictions, and if it had not been wiser if Sweden had also been more difficult from the start.
– One of the main advantages of the Swedish strategy is that it can last a long time. One of the main disadvantages that other countries have now is how difficult it is to change. It is not easy to go from very heavy measures to easier measures, it is difficult to see what really happens with the contacts in the community and it is difficult to open much, “says Anders Tegnell.
