The President of the United States, Donald Trump, is interviewed by Fox News.
President Donald Trump argues that the United States is close to developing a covid-19 vaccine.
“We are very confident that we will have a vaccine by the end of the year,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
Many researchers around the world try to be the first to develop a safe and effective coronavirus vaccine. Succeeding at the end of the year would be quicker than many experts say is possible, and Trump seems to be aware that he is holding events ahead of the vaccine’s predictions.
– Doctors would say that I shouldn’t say that, but I will say what I think.
Trump doesn’t seem concerned about the vaccine’s medical tests being conducted unusually quickly. He also insists that he is pleased to see another country succeed in developing a vaccine faster than the United States.
– I don’t care, I just want a vaccine that works, he says.
So far, more than 67,600 people have died in corona virus suites in the United States, representing an increase of 1,450 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours and by far the highest number in the world. There are more than 1,150,000 confirmed infected in the country.
