They may be different rules for different parts of Sweden

On Sunday “Good morning, the world!” At P1, Giesecke was interviewed about how European countries are slowly opening up.

– Relaxing restrictions is fascinating, I don’t know of a single country where you think about how to abolish restrictions when you introduced them. All the countries now seem confused, except Sweden of course, he tells the radio.

According to Johan Giesecke, Sweden is one of the countries where the disease has progressed the most.

– Many people have had it, but that is where Sweden is mainly located, because we have had a blockage so slight that we have a quarter of the population in the Stockholm region that has had the disease.

Giesecke: has been discussed within the Public Health Authority

Stefan Löfven previously said that domestic summer travel may be in jeopardy, and this weekend Anders Tegnell told TT that we should not “put gasoline on the fire in parts of the country where the spread of infection is slow.”

Johan Giesecke himself says he has plans to go to the west coast this summer, but that he will not travel abroad. According to him, different crown rules have been debated in different parts of the country, as the spread of the infection has come a long way.

– It has been argued that there would be different rules for different parts of society, so certain rules apply in Gotland but not in the Västra Götaland region.

On April 22, Johan Giesecke said the discussions were held within the Public Health Authority.

– Yes, yesterday I was at the morning meeting of the Public Health Authority and there is one thing that was discussed there, that there will be different rules in different parts of the country.

For SR, he says an example could be about recommendations around taverns.

– Take the restaurants, in Stockholm you can open them soon. But you may not do it in Gotland to give an example. But apparently it is extremely difficult legally. Parliament cannot enact laws that do not apply to the entire state, he tells SR.

Expressen has applied to the Stockholm region, which refers to compliance with the recommendations of the Public Health Authority. At the press conference on April 23, state epidemiologist deputy Anders Wallensten said on Expressen TV:

– If it is an extreme situation where there is a big difference in infection, then maybe you can think about it, but right now it is the whole state that applies to restrictions.
