Donald McFadden is pretty much condemned by Microsoft after suffering no less than two Xbox Elite Controls that after a few months began to show “driving analog sticks,” that is, sticks that record movement in a certain direction despite not moving them. Videogame Chronicle has analyzed its lawsuit in Washington, where it says that Microsoft is fully aware of the problem, but that it usually refuses to repair checks for free.
According to McFadden, a large number of consumers should be affected, and furthermore, he claims that there is a design flaw in the analog stick potentiometer that causes the material to scrape and ultimately cause the desired electrical contact. In McFadden’s case, it took several months for the problem to arise, meaning the warranty has expired.
Microsoft isn’t just suffering from control issues, last year it was Nintendo’s joy that popped up in the wallpaper about the newly powered analog sticks.
