Meteorologist: we are in the transition period | Gothenburg message

Sunday gives unstable weather with rains in the southern part of the country that can bring some thunderstorms. In contrast, the western parts of Götaland can get sunshine. The varied climate will continue this week.

– I don’t see any significant heat. It looks almost the same for next week’s Sunday, just as varied over the next week, says Marisol Huaman, a meteorologist at SMHI.

On Monday, a rainy area passes over Svealand which in Dalarna and northern Värmland turns to snow or wet snow. The remaining part of the country offers alternate clouds and perhaps some rain over Götaland.

By Wednesday, low pressure is expected to cut through the northernmost parts of Scandinavia and produce some wind over northern Norrland. Snowfall is expected over the mountain area. While in the southern part of the country there is the possibility of rest and sun.

The varied climate is not entirely unexpected for the season.

– We are in the transition period where we have been quite cold not so long ago and now it is getting softer. Temperatures begin to rise, but they are varied, says Marisol Huaman.
