Simon Strand was reported last year as relevant to a move abroad.
But now Elfsborg Hill believes he is focusing on games at the Allsvenskan.
“I don’t see the international rumors as serious,” he tells Fotbolltransfers.com.
Simon Strand, 26, joined Elfsborg from Dalkurd in the winter of 2019 and made 25 matches at the Allsvenskan last year. Last summer it was linked, among other things, with a change to the Dutch team. Vitesse, while also the main Danish club FC Copenhagen is said to have shown an interest in him, but still remained on Borås’ team and has, as it now appears, agreements about 2021.
Strand now thinks he only focuses on playing with Elfsborg at allsvenskan.
– International rumors do not see them as serious. I have no idea how much truth was behind them, but I didn’t think about it either. It was then, as now, to do the best possible in Elfsborg, although it is obviously difficult these days, he tells Fotbolltransfers.com.
On the other hand, he believes that in the future he may want to move abroad again.
– Absolutely, I have ambitions and dreams of playing abroad, but if this year goes to waste, I think I have not had the opportunity to develop and show myself. You develop more in the game than in training. Obviously you want to go abroad and it’s okay at this age, something should happen even if it happens, but then I don’t know how realistic it is these days.
Strand has previously represented the Danish team Lyngby BK in foreign lands, but also has experience in games, among others, Östers IF, Assyriska FF and IK Frej.
