US President Joe Biden blames Vice President Kamala Harris for the situation on the southern border, where the number of migrants from Mexico and Central America has recently increased.
– I can’t imagine anyone more capable of doing this. When he speaks, he speaks for me, says Biden and adds:
– It’s a difficult job you get.
The fact that the vice president gets the job is a sign of whether the government puts immigration on the agenda. That question includes how unaccompanied children should be treated, something the United States must improve, according to Harris.
– Its a big problem. I’m not going to pretend it isn’t.
Among other things, a fairground in San Diego will be converted to accommodate up to 1,400 children.
Harris says the country’s immigration system was brought down during the reign of Donald Trump and that it needs to be rebuilt.
