On January 20 of this year, Shawn Bradley was riding a bicycle near his home and was hit from behind by a car. Bradley, who had a long and successful NBA career in the 1990s, was taken to the hospital where he had neck surgery.
However, the serious accident left him with a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed.
Bradley was selected as number two in the 1993 draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. From 1996 until his last season in the NBA 2004-2005, he belonged to the Dallas Mavericks, who commented on the tragic accident.

According to information from the organization, Bradley should be in a good mood and already plans to use his accident as a platform to promote safety with cycling in mind.
