Corona: Infection Control Doctor Saw IFK Supporters Actions

Late Sunday night, Slovakian national team player Marek Hamsik arrived at Landvetter airport outside Gothenburg.

Infection Control Doctor: “Disappointed”

– In the midst of a prevailing pandemic, everyone, in all situations, must fight to reduce the spread of infection. We make recommendations, and have for a long time, about keeping distance between ourselves and meeting with as few as possible. And it can be said with certainty that there was no greater distance between these people, Wahlberg says, adding:

– I feel disappointed.

The fact that this is perhaps the largest transfer pump in Allsvenskan history is not reason enough to violate the authorities’ advice and recommendations, Wahlberg says.

– It does not matter if it is a world star or something else that excites us, everyone should do what they can to reduce the spread of infection, he says.

Could have been avoided

The welcome was not organized by the Blåvitt fan club, Änglarna. This is what President John Pettersson, who was not present at Landvetter, says.

– It is our own responsibility that applies – we at Änglarna have constantly urged our members not to meet in large groups. But as a private person and a supporter, I can understand that you are happy when such an important player appears.

He continues:

– If IFK had understood how big it would be, they could have taken Marek differently. There could have been ways to prevent the situation from arising.
