A man in his 20s is sentenced to prison after beating a taxi driver to make him suffer, among other things, a brain hemorrhage, fractures to his face and broken teeth.
“The guy jumped and left, then he came back and had fixed something. I think he bought weed (cannabis) because he smelled like that,” says the taxi driver when questioned according to GP.
After a multi-stop trip that lasted an hour and a half, the taxi driver was beaten when the man accused him of being scammed. A passerby alerted the police and the ambulance and when they arrived, the man fled. He was arrested after about a month and then he admitted almost everything.
The man is sentenced to one year in prison for aggravated assault and illegal threats. The taxi driver, a man in his 40s, receives damage of SEK 75,000. He has not yet been able to return to work.
