Protesters stormed a government building in Armenia’s capital Yerevan, Russia’s Ria news agency reports. It is unclear if anyone was injured.
Both supporters of Prime Minister Nikol Pasjinian and opposition groups have called demonstrations throughout the day.
Pasjinian has been in the hot air since he signed a peace agreement with the breakaway Nagorno-Karabakh area with his archrival Azerbaijan, something that some Armenians see as treason.
This weekend, thousands of protesters marched through Yerevan to demand a change of power. Last week, Pasjinian condemned the army’s demand for his resignation, a request that he himself described as an attempted coup.
