Record temperatures and more than double digits degrees: the last few days have really been spring in Skåne.
The highest February temperature in Lund for at least 268 years was measured on Thursday.
The weekend will also be sunny, but next week it will be more unstable and it will even snow.
– So you can seize the opportunity to enjoy the sun this weekend, says Mikael Sjöstrand, Klart.se meteorologist.
At the measurement station in Lund, 14.4 degrees were measured on Thursday, a new temperature record for February. It’s the warmest February temperature since they started measuring in Lund, which they did in 1753, says Mikael Sjöstrand, a meteorologist at Klart.se.
– The previous record was 2012, at 14 degrees. Now it was 14.4 degrees, very hot.
However, it was not the warmest in the country in Lund: in Kalmar, temperatures were measured up to 17 degrees. This is a Swedish record for February.
In Malmö, 13.7 degrees were measured.
This weekend, however, it won’t be that hot.
– It will be sunny and beautiful in the Malmö area, but in the inner and eastern parts of Skåne, and also in the northern parts, it will be much more cloudy and varied. The cloudiness subsides a bit later on Friday, in terms of temperature we land 8-10 degrees higher, says Mikael Sjöstrand.
The night before Saturday seems to be cooler.
– The weather is clear during the night, so on Saturday morning it can be zero degrees or even one degree lower throughout Skåne. We start out quite cold in the morning, then later in the day it seems like it will be sunny throughout the region.

Saturday temperatures range between 6 and 8 degrees during the day. However, a northwesterly wind will blow which is occasionally cool.
– It can get a bit windy, especially on the west coast.
Clouds can arrive towards the end of Saturday. The forecast for Sunday is a bit more uncertain.
– It seems to push more clouds past, but in the middle there are clouds and it can be around 5-8 degrees higher depending on how much cloud there will be during the day when the sun warms best
But the glorious spring weather doesn’t have to be long-lasting – there will be several gray and cloudy days next week. Until next weekend, it can even be a winter sensation.
– It seems that we have such a typical setback that it can happen in March, that it turns into north winds and cold air leaks in. Then there can probably be lower degrees and snow or wet snow until next weekend.
– Then you have the opportunity to enjoy the sun this weekend, says Mikael Sjöstrand.
