Boris Johnson spoke with students at Sedgehill Academy in Lewisham, south London.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who was previously a journalist, said in a statement Tuesday that he was leaving the profession because it angered him.
– Being a journalist is a fantastic profession, a fantastic profession. But the problem is that always, sometimes, people are harassed, people are attacked, Johnson said when he spoke to school children at a school in Lewisham in south London.
Johnson made a career as a journalist for the conservative British newspapers The Times and The Daily Telegraph, including as a political correspondent and columnist in Brussels. He has recently received harsh criticism for using racist and homophobic expressions in several of his texts.
Johnson left the field when he was elected to the British Parliament in 2001, at the age of 36.
But you don’t have to be a politician first either, Johnson advised students on the video link he spoke about:
– Do not start by becoming a politician, do many other things first.
