Now there are more reports on how the order of priority is completed with the people in the highest positions of the municipalities.
Eight elderly caregivers have been vaccinated in Kävlinge in Skåne, while home care staff have not even been able to make an appointment for the injection.
– There was a misconception about the information and it is completely insane, says care manager Ann-Louise Christensen.
Employees of the home care service in the municipality of Kävlinge are in line to receive a vaccine against covid-19, but so far only a few staff members who work with home care for the elderly have had time to receive the first injection . Now it turns out that their bosses, on the other hand, have advanced to the queue.
The deception was discovered in a videoconference in which those responsible for the care of the elderly participated. This is exactly where the question arose about how city administrators transmitted ahead of the vaccine queue in other parts of the country, according to Ann-Louise Christensen, head of care management at Kävlinge.
– We had a meeting with all the managers. It was in connection with Sydsvenskan writing about something like this last week. And then I said, don’t I hope that happened here in Kävlinge? And then it turned out that eight had been vaccinated. Everyone was a little honest about it, everyone who got the vaccine realized it went wrong.
Has offices near the group accommodation
According to Ann-Louise Christensen, there have been ambiguities regarding the order of priority, as many of the administrators in question have their offices in the vicinity of, for example, service apartments and group housing for the elderly with home care.

– There was uncertainty about this term “work related to nursing”. Which I think is clear, because they are not managers, they are not and they do the work near the infirmary. But based on the fact that they have their basic location in the business, close to residents and close to employees, this would have happened. But that is completely wrong. Thank God we found out, he says.
About 300 caregivers in the municipality must have received the first dose of vaccine, as well as 200 employees in special accommodation, which is included in phase 1. Only about 30 of the home care service personnel have been offered a vaccine.
According to the head of care, it has now been clarified who should be vaccinated and when, to prevent more people from getting out of the queue.
