First, a man was shot in Husby.

Sen tre in Tensta.

The second shooting is suspected of being revenge for the first, but the intense 72 hours of the police stopped the continuation.

Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, December 29, a 20-year-old man appeared at Karolinska Hospital.

He had been shot in Husby, northwest of Stockholm.

The man did not want to cooperate with police, but a patrol was able to find empty casings in a residential area later that night and locate the crime scene.

The 20-year-old will belong to a criminal network in Husby, according to information to Aftonbladet.

Theory: Triple Shot Revenge

At 9:46 p.m., the same day, it was time again.

Several shots fired in the center of Tensta.

When the police arrived at the scene, they found two men wounded by gunshots.

– Then another man was found, who was found in connection with a home, says Police Commissioner Lisa Granqvist, section chief of the felony department.

The three men shot, ages 17, 18 and 19, were taken to hospital.

The 19-year-old, who according to information from Aftonbladet had been shot in the chest and stomach, died of his injuries. The other two survived.

All three are linked to a criminal ring in Rinkeby, sources tell Aftonbladet.

Rival gangs in Husby and Rinkeby

The two gangs to which the men are connected have been on “separate camps” and several previous acts are linked to the conflict.

The police work on the basis that the murder and the three assassination attempts during the bloody day of December 29 are related, according to information to Aftonbladet.

The theory is based, among other things, on traces of the alleged perpetrators found by the police, sources tell Aftonbladet.

In the investigation of the shooting in Tensta, the police obtained a surveillance film. According to the same information, it must have been seen there when two men arrived at the scene on their electric scooters. The camera is also said to have captured one of the men pulling out a pistol. The actual shooting, on the other hand, took place out of the picture.

Through analysis of the film’s material and various other clues, police are said to have managed to find two suspects in the Tensta shooting, according to information from Aftonbladet. They are being hunted and have not yet been arrested.

They are both said to belong to the same criminal network in Husby that the 20-year-old is a member of.

One of the men must also have a family connection to the victim in Husby.

The theory of the police is therefore that the act in Tensta is direct revenge for the attempted murder on Husby, according to the informants.

“I would shoot the first to discover”

In addition to the revenge theory being based on information about who the suspects are behind the Tensta shooting, police must also have been warned that retaliation was imminent, Aftonbladet sources claim.

After the Husby shootings, police received notifications that the 20-year-old victim’s gang was planning revenge action.

The information claimed that they had said they should go to Tensta and shoot “the first ones they discovered,” a source tells Aftonbladet.

The police should not have been able to fully clarify the motive for the attempted murder on Husby, which according to the working hypothesis led to the Tensta shooting.

However, there should be two different facts about why the 20-year-old was killed in the residential area.

The act is also believed to be related to another felony case in Stockholm’s “underworld,” according to the same information on the theory.

Intensive 72 hours for the police

During the operation after the shooting in Tensta, there were riots at the crime scenes. Among other things, a police car was damaged.

The police feared that the probable spiral of violence, which for an alleged act of revenge cost the life of a young man and injured two, would continue and intensify.

Therefore, extensive work was started to stop further retaliation between the gangs.

– It was feared that “the other side” would retaliate after the Tensta shooting, says a source.

Immediately after the incident, the Stockholm Police decided to increase the presence in the Järva area.

At the same time, several important units and special forces within the police were activated.

– We started working on the murder and the two assassination attempts on December 30, that is, New Year’s Eve. You might think that from an employer’s perspective it was not the most appropriate date, but actually I am very proud and very impressed with the ability we managed to get the first 72 hours that are considered most important in serious violent crimes, says Lisa Granqvist.

“They all gathered forces in principle at the service”

The Serious Crimes section worked together with the local police area in Järva, which in turn went into personal mode.

– We gathered basically everyone who was on duty in the whole section and we worked with the case, says Lisa Granqvist.

In addition to investigating the crimes, various measures were taken to prevent further incidents from occurring.

– We had reconciliation meetings over New Years weekend and the weekend after where we talked about crime prevention efforts in terms of investigation and so forth.

Fast and intensive police work could dampen the surface of the conflict and break the spiral of violence, it can be said now, a month later.

– We got up and running very quickly and worked together, both in gathering information for preliminary investigations and in adopting security-building measures.

– We had a full roll all New Years weekend in the section and we performed very well in both cases.

Police: Full speed on the case

The crimes, for which no one has yet been arrested, are now being investigated at various levels. Among other things through internal recognition.

– It is a fairly extensive and intense research work that is ongoing. We work in a special investigation organization.

– A month has passed, so we are still partly in the collection phase and we continue to collect and search for information. In the future, we will knock on additional doors in the area and work with interrogations. We have a good collaboration with the local police area, both in the crime prevention parts and with the work with visibility and their local knowledge in the case, so that we obtain the best conditions for the investigation of crimes.

Police investigators are also conducting extensive work on film material, says Lisa Granqvist.

– Above all, we have a lot of work there. Both to review material already collected and to download additional movies. We will process the material and try to find interesting ideas. Then we also do forensic analysis of various kinds.

You also need the help of the public and encourage people to get in touch.

– We are absolutely interested if you have information or information. Then you can contact 114 14 and leave them. We are very interested in all the people who have been or have been in the area, who may have seen or heard something or, in general, who have information to provide.

– We are working at full speed on the matter.
