Michael Lindqvist set points for his Färjestad against Örebro.

Färjestad has come out of his deep depression.

The victory against Örebro, 4-3 after penalties, means that five defeats in a row turn into three victories in a row.

– Well, of course, says the reborn king of goals Michael Lindqvist, who arranged the bonus points.

Färjestad can start looking up the SHL table again.

Against Örebro, the network with Jacob Nilsson, Michael Lindqvist and Per Åslund made one of the best efforts of the season.

After eleven goalless games, Lindqvist took the game into extra time with his 3-3 goal, then decided on the penalty.

– It is good to break the target drought. I must have had four, five in the frame at the end. Now bounce in place, the match hero tells C More.

Örebro clearly started better and received a dividend more or less immediately, after Färjestad striker Victor Ejdsell was sent off. Ejdsell barely had time to sit on the bench before Emil Larsson gave the guests the upper hand.

It seemed simple and it sounded like this too:

– I went to the finish line. They are games and consecutive shots. I have an empty cage, I am in the right place, Larsson tells C More.

After a first period in which Örebro dominated so much that Färjestad coach Johan Pennerborn called for a time-out after just under nine minutes, Larsson was satisfied, but also raised a warning finger.

– We must raise uniformity. That is our biggest opponent.

“On time”

The warning did not help.

Örebro lost the initiative and suddenly it was Färjestad who was nailed in the attack zone and after two flying attacks, the home team had made it 2-1 in just over two minutes.

First, Michael Lindqvist chose the in-to-back oblique option, which gave Jacob Nilsson the position that gave him 1-1.

Then both Lindqvist and Nilsson made smart passes before Per Åslund cut with one of the season’s toughest shots to make it 2-1.

– It was about time. It’s been a bit like that on my part, but he’s better today, Nilsson tells C More.

Effective power play

Örebro came back in the third period and showed new efficiency in the power game.

Tonight’s third down shot was the second goal as points king Robin Kovacs found his right from the correct technical circle.

Daniel Muzito Bagenda made it 3-2 for Örebro before Michael Lindqvist equalized, the former goal king’s first goal in a month and a half.
