The boy’s father told his wife that he was the one being chased by the police for two rapes. The wife alerted the police and the man could be arrested in a city in central Sweden.
Aftonbladet can now reveal new details on how the police were able to arrest the alleged rapist:
The night before Saturday, the wife called the police and told them about her husband’s confession. The information was captured by the Stockholm Police and after prosecutors gave the go-ahead for an arrest, a police patrol in the city where the man was located could attack the house where the family was staying, according to information from Aftonbladet:

Niklas Kraft, manager of the sex crime group in North Stockholm, can confirm that information about the man was received during the night of Saturday and that later the prosecutors decided that he should be arrested in his absence, after which the police could perform an operation.

Investigate the man board
The father of young children has lived a quiet family life on the surface and has played a prominent role in a free church. Yesterday he was arrested for probable cause on suspicion of aggravated rape and aggravated sexual harassment, after admitting the crimes in police interrogation.
– My client admits these acts, thinks it is good that he is now with the police and that these things are properly investigated, said the man’s lawyer, Hanna Lindblom, after the arrest negotiations.
Police are investigating whether the father of young children may be linked to more assaults in recent years.
– We will investigate it extensively. Currently, there are no other criminal suspicions, but we are not ruling anything out, Niklas Kraft has previously said.
According to his defense attorney, the man will cooperate with the investigation.
Does this also apply to events other than these two that are suspected?
– This applies to the two crimes that are suspected, says Hanna Lindblom.
The man is suspected of aggravated rape and aggravated sexual harassment after two assaults, in June 2020 in Täby and in the summer of 2018 in Uppsala.
In the search for a perpetrator, police have previously released both a ghost image and an alleged DNA image, created by a US company based on DNA findings from crime scenes.
