It was in an interview with TV4 Nyhetsmorgon that former police professor Leif GW Person said that he had received an offer to be vaccinated by a private doctor for a fee.

Leif GW Persson stated on TV 4 on Wednesday morning that he had been offered to pay to quickly get vaccinated against covid-19.

Against this background, Axel Josefson, leader of the Moderates group in Gothenburg, during Wednesday’s city council meeting asked Kristine Rygge about the situation in Västra Götaland and assured her that it was not possible.

For DN develops her what it looks like today:

– You can’t buy your way in the queue. All vaccines administered in relation to covid-19 in the Västra Götaland region are free. There is no one who can go ahead and pay for it.

Even if it’s not a problem, it’s not in itself unimportant, she says.

– You should feel confident that you receive the vaccine that we send you and that we only send it to our own care providers and private ones within the health center. And everyone is very aware of our order of priorities and it doesn’t work at all for you to get ahead of the queue.

There are always opportunists, says and affirms that there is currently no vaccine for anyone.

– And it is sad because we have the opportunity to vaccinate much more. We have an organization and a will, both among caregivers and residents, that far exceed childbirth. So give us vaccinations so we can vaccinate much, much more.

Kristine Rygge believes that willingness to vaccinate in the region is very high and does not want to speculate on whether a notch in deliveries will have a negative effect on willingness to vaccinate.

– I really don’t expect it because at the moment there is a very big commitment and we have to take advantage of it. It’s unfortunate to have a break for all reasons, but I choose to believe that the will to vaccinate remains.

The region is now a little bit, because without more doses the vaccination cannot continue. Pfizer’s next scheduled delivery will take place next week, but currently the full delivery will be used to complete the vaccination of people who have received the first dose.

– Last week we started sending dose two to those who have already received a dose and can then quickly understand that this is where the doses will go in the weeks ahead. So it will be a while before we can send dose one to new groups, says Kristine Rygge.
