Connected with the great Norwegian club: “A very nice club”

Defender Adam Andersson left his parent club Västra Frölunda IF in 2013 and signed for BK Häcken. Now, however, the contract with the Hisingen club has expired and recently Häcken’s sporting director, Martin Ericsson, told GP that the 24-year-old is likely to leave.

When Fotbollskanalen calls the 24-year-old, he says it’s still not entirely clear.

– How I feel .. No, but I feel like we will see a little what happens in January. Not fully nailed yet. I do not close the doors to Häcken, which I have also told Martin (Ericsson). We’ll see what happens, Adam Andersson tells Fotbollskanalen and continues:

– Coverage means a lot. I played a bit of senior football in Frölunda before, but it is in Häcken where I have the most development and I established myself as an Allsvenskan player. I was trained and learned a lot in Häcken, so absolutely that Häcken has trained me as a soccer player.

Early last year, Fotbolldirekt stated that Andersson is approaching a move to great Norwegian club Rosenborg and, if you ask today, the defender is not a complete stranger.

– It is one of the biggest clubs in the Nordic countries. It’s a very nice club with a nice history and all that. But I’m not that stressed out. I’ve been playing on outgoing (contract) all this year and waited quite a long time. I have to stick around and make sure the next step is the best it can be, no matter what it is. Even if it will be a continuation in Häcken.

BK Häcken previously announced that Sonny Karlsson will be stepping down as sporting director. The idea was that Sonny Karlsson would leave after this season this year, but now it is sports director Martin Ericsson who is leading the role of sports director.

– It went very well with Sonny, but I think also with Martin. I think there will now be some changes. Martín has a history at the club and has been involved in developing it on the field. I think he also knows what it takes to take the next step. So I think it will be very good, Adam Andersson concludes.

Last season Adam Andersson scored a goal in 24 Allsvenskan games.
