Finnish goalkeeper star Tuukka Rask left the Stanley Cup bubble in a hurry this summer and traveled home to Finland.

Now comes the explanation. One of his three daughters fell ill and was picked up in an ambulance.

– Everything happened so fast. I received a phone call in the evening saying that my daughter was not feeling well. They had to call an ambulance. Then everything turned and I thought “I have to go home,” says Rask about the drama.

Now the whole family is fine. It’s the first time Tuukka Rask has opened up about this summer’s event that was noticed as it happened just hours before Game 3 against Carolina in the first round of the playoffs. No reason why he left did not come then.

The star goalkeeper assures that there have been no doubts about the team when they are already reunited for next season.

– No, there are no question marks. We’ve kept in touch all summer and talked about most things about life with my teammates, he says.
