Zlatan said he missed the Swedish national team.
Then the captain of the national team, Janne Andersson, traveled to Milan on a rebound, but what was said during their meeting remains secret.
– Not even Håkan Sjöstrand was allowed to stay in the room, says Andersson on TV4 Nyhetsmorgon.
When Zlatan received the Ballon d’Or in 2020, the general secretary of the Swedish Football Association, Håkan Sjöstrand, went to Milan to present the award to Zlatan. It was also Sjöstrand who organized the lightning match between Zlatan and Janne Andersson shortly after, after Zlatan expressed his longing for the Swedish national team.

“Conversation between four eyes”
But what was said at the meeting so far remains something only Zlatan and Janne Andersson know.
– We talk about things that are to come and things that have been. It was a conversation between four eyes, not even Håkan Sjöstrand, our general secretary, was allowed to stay in the room. It was me and Zlatan, says Janne Andersson in Nyhetsmorgon.
– It was a good talk, a good dialogue, we must go further, he continues.
When asked if Zlatan Ibrahimovic is closer to being selected in the Swedish national team, Janne Andersson simply replies: “we’ll see.”
