The Swedish team broke the rules of the crown: they risk punishment

This year’s Ski Tour is subject to strict crown rules to reduce the spread of infections. According to Expressen, the international ski association FIS, in order to ensure that these rules are followed, has started to collect evidence against skiers and leaders who do not handle, for example, mouth protection in the right way.

After starting the work of distributing warnings, fines will now be imposed on those who do not follow the rules. You can also risk losing your accreditation and being forced to leave the competition.

Now Expressen writes that three cases have resulted in fines. One of them is leader of the Swedish national team.

– These are cases in which people did not follow the instructions of the competition management. The use of mouth guards is mandatory, even in training areas during competition. These are leaders of the nations Sweden, Russia and France. We hand out fines to nations, not people, juror Jussi Prykäri tells the newspaper.

The fine corresponds to 2,300 SEK.
